June is the official beginning of summer and time to celebrate Pride. That’s right, the entire month is dedicated to uplifting the LGBTQ+ community and celebrating diversity, equality, and visibility. There are many ways to celebrate Pride, from learning the movement’s history to supporting the diverse array of LGBTQ+ voices, to supporting local LGBTQ+ businesses and charities, to simply being an ally to your friends and family who identify as LGBTQ+. With vaccine rollouts happening across the country this spring, Pride 2021 holds renewed promise for parades and outdoor celebrations.
Keep celebrating even after Pride Month ends
Pride Month is about love, acceptance and being proud of who you are. So whether it’s at a pride parade cheering on your favourite drag queens or at home trying to decide what book to read before bed, you can celebrate and support the LGBTQ community every single day.
